Observed Futsal Trends

Just like in the Central Regional Tournament, futsal academies dominated this event.   Check out my post, Futsal vs. Indoor Soccer, to see my thoughts on that. Also, most of the finalists came from cold weather locations in the central part of the United States — with only a few from California and Florida.  There were no finalists from the Northeast coastal region of the country and very few from the Western region. The reasons for the regional discrepancies are unclear, but it is likely that length of travel and, in the warmer climates, year round soccer were factors.

Congratulations National Futsal Champions
